Its Like a Damn Coffeehouse in Here!

School is winding down, but it isn’t over yet.  To fill space until I can get time to write something worth reading again, here’s another poem!

Not ready to fly

Mom is done taking
care of me

No surprise; She
hadn’t been for a while

The People’s Wagon
sputters to life

Will exhaust linger
long enough

To put out the
candles on my cake?

My top is down

A bookshelf towers
over me

A library wearing a
rollerskate

Rubber bites angrily
at gravel

The Rabbit skitters
across town

And comes to roost

In a cluttered
garage

Did I even say
goodbye?

No.

I hope you like it.
